Delivery fees
We will charge a delivery fee for orders to addresses within our delivery zones in Zimbabwe, unless stated otherwise in these terms and conditions or in a promotion. The fee and any free-delivery threshold (e.g. free delivery when your total cart exceeds a certain amount) will be shown at checkout. All products may be transacted through SPAR Online except for goods prohibited for sale in terms of applicable laws.
SPAR Zimbabwe is committed to operating in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws in Zimbabwe, and all policies are subject to the law.
All products ordered and paid for will be delivered within the estimated timeframe shown at checkout, which may range from same-day or next-day delivery (in areas close to the fulfilling store) to several working days depending on the proximity of your delivery address to the store fulfilling your order. The closer your delivery address is to the store, the sooner we will deliver. Delivery timelines may vary depending on the courier or delivery partner and may exclude public holidays and weekends. During busy periods or campaigns (e.g. festive holidays or promotional events), delivery may take longer than usual.
While we will make every effort to deliver on time and to keep you updated throughout the process, on occasion, due to issues outside of our control, deliveries may be delayed. We will endeavour to communicate any significant delays to you via email, SMS or another channel you have provided.
Delivery charges are shown and charged at checkout. We reserve the right to split products in your order into multiple deliveries within the stipulated delivery window; it remains the customer’s responsibility to ensure they or a representative are available to accept deliveries. Where we deliver
We deliver to areas within Zimbabwe as served by SPAR Online and our delivery partners. Delivery zones and fees may vary by store. In some areas, our courier partners may deliver to a designated collection point (e.g. a nearby pickup point); you will be advised when the delivery has been made. You must ensure that the correct delivery address is provided to us; we shall not be liable for deliveries made to an address incorrectly provided by you.
Receiving your delivery
Please ensure that you or an authorised representative are available to accept your order at the delivery address and that appropriate access is given. On delivery, we may require you (or your representative) to sign for the order or confirm receipt (e.g. via OTP or electronic signature) to confirm receipt. You authorise us to provide your name, delivery address and telephone number to our delivery service provider for the purpose of effecting the delivery.
Any person who receives the order at the delivery address you specified is presumed to be authorised to accept delivery on your behalf. If no one is available at the time of delivery, the courier may attempt to leave the order in a safe place (where applicable) or return it. Our liability for failing to deliver timeously is limited to arranging delivery at a later agreed time at no additional charge where possible. We use third-party delivery providers and, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damage or loss arising from the acts or omissions of the courier. We will provide your contact and delivery details to the courier solely to deliver your order to you.
Our couriers are not authorised to modify or tamper with your products. They may leave the order in a safe area on your property where possible, or it may be returned to us. SPAR Zimbabwe is not liable for any damage if you instruct the delivery personnel to force or modify the delivery in a way that causes damage.
We request that you inspect your goods before signing or confirming receipt and ensure all items are received in good order and free of visible damage. If you notice any problem, please endorse the delivery document accordingly and, where appropriate, reject the delivery or contact us immediately.
Large or fragile items
Large or fragile items (e.g. certain appliances or bulk orders) may require extra care. We recommend that you inspect such goods before signing acceptance. If you collect from a SPAR store, the item may be inspected with you before you leave the store. SPAR Zimbabwe will not be liable for damage that occurs after you have accepted delivery or removed the item from the store. Handle, transport and unpack products with care to avoid damage.
Order tracking
You can track the status of your order by logging into your account and opening “My orders” (or the equivalent section). There you can see whether your order has been received, is being prepared, is out for delivery, or has been delivered. Order history reflects your online transactions.
